Copper Alloys

What is a copper alloy made of?

Copper alloy is an alloy composed of pure copper and added one or more other elements.

Divided according to the material forming method, it can be divided into

 ▪ cast copper alloy ▪ deformed copper alloy

Cast copper alloys and deformed copper alloys can be subdivided into

 ▪ pure copper ▪ brass ▪ bronze ▪ cupronickel

There are three main casting methods:

 ▪ sand casting ▪ metal mold casting ▪ precision casting

After solid solution and aging treatment, it has the equivalent high strength limit, elastic limit, yield limit, and fatigue limit of special steel, as well as high electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, high hardness and wear resistance, and high, creep resistance.

And corrosion resistance is widely used in the manufacture of various mold inserts, replacing steel to produce high precision, complex shape molds, welding electrode materials, presses, injection molding machine punches, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant workpieces, etc.
